David BassaneseChief Economist Betashares

David Bassanese is Chief Economist at BetaShares Capital, one of Australia’s leading providers of exchange traded funds (ETFs) with over $7 billion in funds under management. Prior role's include senior financial commentator with The Australian Financial Review, and economist roles at Macquarie Bank, the Federal Treasury and the Paris-based Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). He is the author of Australia’s definitive book on exchange traded funds - "The Australian ETF Guide". David has an Honours Degree in Economics from the University of Adelaide, and a Master in Public Policy from Harvard University

Chris Wrightson Head of Wealth Management - Ironbark

Chris is responsible for strategic growth, M&A and governance of the Ironbark wealth management business and is a director on advice business boards. He has 30+ years’ Financial Services anagement experience in major financial institutions and an in-depth understanding of adviser to client engagement models, business models & growth drivers for advisory businesses. At Ipac and later AXA, Chris's teams were responsible for acquisition & ongoing management of financial planning businesses, and the acquisition of equity in vendor run planning practices plus the corporatising of the client offer & business mode

Steve AldridgeDirector / Senior Financial Adviser of Ridgeman Private Wealth

Steve has been in the financial services industry for 25 years, the majority of this time spent advising HNW clients on protecting, growing and using their wealth to achieve their personal goals. Steve holds a Bachelor of Business and Diploma of Financial Services along with a specialisation in Estate Planning. He is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors as well as various industry bodies.

Martin Morris Head of Distribution & Director - Praemium

Martin has 26 years of industry experience spanning both Australia and the UK markets and held national roles in both product distribution and AFSL management. Martin has attained his MBA, is a Graduate of the Institute of Company Directors and is an accredited behavioural sales coach. Anne HamiehHead of Distribution and Marketing

Anne is responsible for leading the client growth and retention strategy for Xplore Wealth. Anne is pivotal in driving Xplore Wealth’s delivery of client centric platform solutions to IFAs, dealer groups, wealth managers, stock brokers, private banks, and investment managers.

As a Financial Services executive with over 20 years of experience, she has demonstrated capability in leading high performing sales teams. Anne joined Xplore Wealth from Vanguard Investments where she was Intermediary Sales Manager, Northern. Anne led the Intermediary sales team responsible for the distribution of Vanguard’s managed funds and ETFs across all advice segments in NSW, QLD and NT. During her time at Vanguard, Anne was a key initiator of Vanguard’s move into Managed Accounts.

Shane HawkeOreana Financial Services

Shane has 5 years in financial planning roles & 18+ years in investment management roles has covered investment research, portfolio construction, governance, asset allocation, risk management & communications. Andrew BradleyPartner - Minter Ellison

Andrew's an expert in all aspects of financial services regulation and has a keen interest in partnering with clients to drive innovation in the financial services industry. He has particular expertise in the area of superannuation. He acts for the full spectrum of clients in the financial services industry including superannuation trustees, life insurers, wrap platform operators, investment managers, administrators and custodians.

Jonathan HoyleCEO - Standford Brown

Jonathan gained a Masters in Biochemistry from Cambridge University, and then spent 15 years in the global financial markets, mainly on the London bond trading floor of JPMorgan. He joined Stanford Brown in 2006 to build its Private Wealth division. He's chaired the Investment Committee since inception in 2009 and became Chief Executive Officer in 2015. Stanford Brown made the decision to run discretionary portfolios for its clients in 2017. Since that time, their Soteria Capital Managed Accounts have twice won the IMAP Multi-Asset Class Manager of the Year Award and are now available to external financial advice practices.

Bianca De Melo is the NSW state sales manager for the wealth Intermediary Team in Macquarie Banking & Financial Services division. Her team is focused on working with Businesses to transform their practices and enable their growth strategies. Her previous roles was Head of Managed Account Product at Macquarie. Bianca has over 15 years’ experience at Macquarie in managed account roles including Head of Managed Account Operations and Managed Accounts Business Manager. Bianca is a responsible manager on the banks managed account license.
