David McDonald CFA
Investment Specialist, IMAP
He has worked as an economist, investment strategist, and has extensive experience in equity portfolio management and analysis. He was previously the Chief Investment Strategist for Credit Suisse Private Banking in Australia.
He has worked in institutional asset management and private wealth in Australia and the UK, & started his career as an economist with the Australian government. David holds a Bachelor of Economics and a Graduate Diploma in Economics (honours) from the Australian National University.
He is a CFA Charter holder and holds the Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement designation


Anna Shelley
Anna has an extensive background in investment management, investment advice, business strategy and product strategy and development.
Anna spent the first 14 years of her career at JANA Investment Advisers as a Principal Consultant, Head of Australian Equities research and Deputy Head of Consulting.
She then worked at MLC Investment Management as Head of Product, responsible for $62bn of retail and institutional products, before moving to Perpetual Investments where she was General Manager, Product and Strategy across Perpetual’s $33Bn FUM.
After relocating to Melbourne, Anna became CIO of Catholic Super, a $10Bn industry fund which then merged with Equipsuper in October 2019 to form a $30Bn fund. As CIO of the combined funds, she has had responsibility for all aspects of investment management, and been responsible for the new investment design which has more than halved Catholic Super’s investment fees, whilst both funds maintained top 12 performance through the Covid induced market turbulence in early 2020.

Adam Bowe is an executive vice president and portfolio manager in PIMCO's Sydney office. He is a permanent member of the Asia-Pacific portfolio committee and has previously served as chair.
Prior to joining PIMCO in 2011, he was responsible for global macro research and trading at Tudor Investment Corporation.
He was also previously a director and portfolio manager at UBS Global Asset Management and at Queensland Investment Corporation.
He has 20 years of investment experience and holds a master's degree in quantitative finance from University of Technology, Sydney.
He also earned a Bachelor of Commerce, First Class Honours and a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Queensland.

Bruce Murphy

Bruce Murphy is a senior funds management executive with 30 years’ of expertise in purpose-led and innovative product design that aims to help solve some of the more complex and enduring income needs of Australian investors. Since 2015, Bruce has served as the Director, Australia and New Zealand for Insight Investment.
Bruce’s early background in credit analysis and audit opened fresh thinking to help deliver several Australian market ‘firsts’ in income and alternative investment strategies, creating market segments which are now core to many investor portfolios.
Prior to his role with Insight Investment, Bruce was a Managing Director at BNY Mellon, and also held Director positions at Macquarie Funds Management, Deutsche Asset Management and Deutsche Life, where he chaired the investment committee.
He is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
He holds a BSc and MCom from the University of New South Wales and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from MGSM.


Cameron Gleeson
Cameron’s responsibilities span supporting all distribution channels, assisting clients with portfolio
construction across all asset classes, and working alongside the portfolio management team.
Prior to joining BetaShares, Cameron was a portfolio manager at Macquarie Asset Management, and
was responsible for the structuring and management of Macquarie’s listed and unlisted structured
product offering.
Cameron’s other experience includes Head of Product at Bell Potter Capital,
working on JP Morgan’s Equity Derivatives desk and at Deloitte Consulting.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia and a Master of
Commerce (Hons) from the University of New South Wales.


Cameron Mitchell
Head of Geopolitical Risk
ANZ Bank
Cameron Mitchell joined ANZ in March 2021 to manage the bank’s geopolitical risk function. In this role, he coordinates the production of tailored geopolitical risk assessments of direct relevance to ANZ interests. He was previously HSBC’s Global Head of Geopolitical Risk.
Cameron is a former Australian public servant, where he worked in the Australian Intelligence Community. He provided strategic-level political risk advice and major power relations assessments to senior Australian government officials and his analysis aided in the development of three Australian Defence White Papers.
A former Australian Defence Force Reserve Officer, Cameron also deployed on military operations to Iraq and Afghanistan. He provided intelligence support to operational-level commanders and supported national-level agencies from within theatre.
Cameron was born in Surrey, UK and grew up in Nigeria and Brunei before completing secondary school in Australia. He is currently completing a part-time Master of Studies in International Relations at the University of Cambridge. He has a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Political Science and History from the University of Sydney, and a Master of Arts by research in Political Science from the University of New South Wales.
He is the author of articles and a book about the Russian defence industry, published through the International Institute for Strategic Studies and the Strategic and Defence Studies Centre.


Charles co-manages all Global Infrastructure Strategies. He has 26 years of investment industry experience.
Charles joined a predecessor organization in 2010. Previously, he was Director and Senior Analyst, Global Infrastructure Securities, at AMP Capital as well as Director, Infrastructure Securities at Hastings Fund Management. He was also Head of Listed Infrastructure at Challenger Financial Services Group, a Portfolio Manager at AMP Capital Investors and an Analyst and Strategist at HSBC Australia.
Charles earned a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Western Sydney.


Christopher Joye

Christopher founded Coolabah Capital in 2011 and leads the portfolio management effort that has produced one of Australia’s top short-term fixed-interest capabilities.
He is responsible for investment decisioning, portfolio management, research and asset pricing, and general business management, running a large team of portfolio managers and analysts.
Christopher is also a Contributing Editor with The Australian Financial Review and well-known as one of Australia’s leading economists, policy advisors and fund managers. In 2019, CCI was selected as one of FE fundinfo’s Top 10 “Alpha Managers” based on his risk-adjusted performance throughout his career across all asset-classes.
Christopher previously worked for Goldman Sachs in London and Sydney, the Reserve Bank of Australia, and was the founder of an award‐winning research and investment group, Rismark International. In 2009 The Australian newspaper selected Christopher as one of Australia’s top 10 “Emerging Leaders” in its economic/wealth category.
In 2007 Christopher was selected by The Bulletin magazine as one of Australia’s “10 Smartest CEOs” and by BRW Magazine as one of “Australia’s Top 10 Innovators”. In 2008, the Australian Government invested $15 billion behind a policy proposal developed by Christopher to provide liquidity to the Australian RMBS market to mitigate the effects of the GFC.
In 2019 the Australian government committed $2bn to invest in securitised SME loans on the basis of a policy proposal Christopher developed for the Treasurer at the time to enhance competition and liquidity in the SME finance sector. In February 2009, Christopher was invited by the Rockefeller and MacArthur Foundations to travel to advise the Obama Administration on the US housing crisis.
Christopher served as a Director of The Menzies Research Centre, which is a leading Australian think‐tank, from 2003 to 2007.
Christopher received Joint 1st Class Honours (Economics & Finance) and the University Medal in Economics & Finance from the University of Sydney, where he was a Credit Suisse First Boston Scholar, SIRCA and University Honours Scholar.
He studied in the PhD program at Cambridge University in 2002 and 2003, where he was a Commonwealth Trust scholarship recipient


Dale Holmes

Dale joined Spire Capital in March 2012 as an equal partner with a principal focus being developing the business strategy, building distribution and investor relations capabilities for the firm.
Dale has over 24 years of financial services experience having commenced his financial services career in 1989 with AXA and has had senior roles more recently as General Manger MLC Alliances (2000-2004) and before that with Ipac as Practice Manager (1995-2000).
Over the period of a decade at Ipac and MLC, Dale was integrally involved with their Investment teams in the development of investment communications for advisers and clients including assisting in simple communication of portfolio construction and implementation.
Dale is also the former and founding CEO of the Greater Western Sydney Giants AFL team, prior to that he was the GM of the Australian Football League in NSW/ACT and a member of the AFL National Executive team.


Damien Hennessy Head of Asset Allocation Zenith Invetment Partners
Damien is responsible for providing investment strategy and dynamic asset allocation services to Zenith’s clients.
In 2003, he co-founded Heuristic Investment Systems (Heuristics) which provided investment strategy, economic analysis and asset allocation research and advice to fund managers, industry funds, wealth managers, asset consultants and financial planning groups.
In March 2021, Heuristics became part of the Zenith Group.
Previously, Damien was Chief Investment Officer with HSBC Asset Management Australia, where he spent 10 years overseeing investment strategy, asset allocation and managing fixed interest and currency portfolios.
He has over 30 years’ experience in funds management, economics and finance and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from University of Melbourne and a Master of Applied Finance from Macquarie University

Daniel joined Centrepoint Alliance in October 2020 as Head of Research. Daniel has over 9 years of investment experience and joins Centrepoint Alliance from IOOF, where he was previously a Portfolio Manager in their Research team. Daniel had been at IOOF for five and a half years, and was responsible for the management of IOOF’s model portfolios, managed accounts, investment philosophy, investment strategy and asset allocation. He also held several responsibilities in research at IOOF, across managed funds, equities, and portfolio research.
Previously to IOOF, Daniel spent two and a half years with Challenger Limited, working across numerous funds at Challenger, under their Fidante Partners Business. Prior to his role at Challenger he also worked at Morgan Stanley within their Investment Management division.
Daniel holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in Economics and Business Law, from The University of Wollongong and a Master of Finance degree from the University of Technology, Sydney


Portfolio Manager
David Blunt manages Perpetual Private’s international equities and growth alternatives portfolios, incorporating private equity, real estate, infrastructure and hedge funds.
Concurrently, he drives the team’s effort in incorporating ESG, Responsible Investments and Impact investments across portfolios. Additionally, David is a non-executive director of the Utilities Trust of Australia (UTA) Trustee Board and is a member of UTA’s ESG Committee.
Prior to joining Perpetual in May 2015, David held roles with ANZ and MLC where he was responsible for capital markets research, strategic asset allocation, investment manager selection and portfolio construction. Prior to MLC, David spent time with Liquid Capital Markets, a firm operating in global derivatives markets.
David has over 14 years’ experience in a fiduciary environment. David holds a Bachelor of Arts with majors in Economics and Politics & International Relations from the University of New South Wales and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance from Kaplan Professional.
Additionally, David completed the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Company Directors Course in 2017 and attained his Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation in 2018.


Frances Taylor

Frances has over 25 years' experience in leadership and management of start-up businesses, teams, and multi-disciplinary projects with varying businesses.
Recently having developed and commercialised the MyNorth Managed Portfolios which has had significant uptake. The funds under management have reached $8.5 bn with 2-year market CAGR of 136% vs the market CAGR of 58%. Development and commercialisation fin-techs is part of that DNA.


Glen Foster
Glen has over 18 years’ experience in financial markets, predominantly in strategic positions.
Glen spent seven years as a multi-asset portfolio manager at Perpetual Investments where he was responsible for running multi-asset funds as well as strategic and tactical asset allocation, trading, risk budgeting, and quantitative modelling.
Glen also managed quantitative and smart beta strategies in the areas of developed and emerging market equities, REITs and commodities.
Prior to this Glen was a quantitative analyst in the Australian equities team for over two years where he worked on alpha signal research, risk modelling and optimisation.
Before Perpetual, Glen was at AMP Capital Investors and Willis Towers Watson (then Watson Wyatt).


Since 2016, Glen has developed and executed an investment process that leverages institutional grade “quantamental” portfolio management techniques to construct multi-asset portfolios aimed at private clients, incorporating direct listed securities.
The success of Glen’s approach has been demonstrated by strong performance vs peer multi-asset products across each risk profile.
Glen has held roles spanning investment research and sales trading and has extensive experience advising fund managers on securities analysis, market strategy and stock specific trade views. In 2011 Glen was awarded top performer in Citi’s Alpha Generator, which provides actionable trade ideas to institutional clients, achieving a long-short equity portfolio return of +31.5% and a sharpe ratio >2.5.
Glen has a Masters in Applied Finance from the University of Melbourne and is a qualified member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and New Zealand. He has an undergraduate degree in Accounting and Business Law and Diploma in Financial Planning.

Justin is portfolio manager of Maple-Brown Abbott’s Global Listed Infrastructure and is also responsible for all Regulated Utilities (ex-North America).
Prior to joining Maple-Brown Abbott, Justin spent five years as Portfolio Manager at Macquarie where he managed their global listed infrastructure portfolios whilst based in New York and Sydney.
Prior to this, Justin worked at Colonial First State as a portfolio manager and managed the $1.4b industrial share fund whilst maintaining his analysis of infrastructure stocks.
Justin is a toll road expert having spent the majority of his career looking at the same businesses that he does today.

Kieran began working in the financial services industry in 1992 as a Financial Adviser for premier clients of The Standard Bank. By 1997 he was heading up special projects within Standard Bank, specifically focused on mortgage securities.
In 1997 Kieran immigrated to Australia to head up a major international manufacturing, import and redistribution company based in Sweden; Poseidon AB.
In late 2002 Kieran moved back into the Financial Services industry in the field of mortgage origination and joined Centric Wealth in late 2003. Kieran roles in Centric included Head of Lending, Head of Treasury Services and subsequently Head of Products and Services.
Kieran joined the Findex Group Management Team as a result of its 2014 acquisition of Centric as Chief Investment Officer for the Findex Group.
Kieran’s other responsibilities include: - Vice Chairman of the Findex Asset Allocation and Investment Committees - Responsible Manger of the Group Funds Management business and Responsible Entity - Senior management and administration roles in community based volunteer and not for profit organisations.

Tamara joined BlackRock in 2021 and as the whole portfolio solutions client specialist, she is a thought leader on the issues facing BlackRock's diverse client base, including embedding sustainability considerations in the portfolio construction process, risk management, trading and liquidity management, and the impact of regulatory changes.
Prior roles include 6 years at J.P. Morgan with the firm's strategic solutions group and Deutsche Bank
Tamara holds qualifications from University of Melbourne in Commerce, Economics, Finance and science, as well as from the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership U.K

S&P Dow Jones Indices (S&P DJI) group provides research and commentary on S&P nDJI’s entire product set, including U.S. and global equities, commodities, fixed income, and economic indices.
Prior to joining S&P DJI in 2013, Tim worked for Barclays Capital, initially within fund-linked derivatives and subsequently in exchange-traded products and index-linked derivatives. Prior to that, he worked at the Royal Institution of Great Britain.
Tim holds a Ph.D in pure mathematics from University College London.

Vessela Tasker launched Greenwood & Co in 2019 to assist financial advisory firms with their investment value proposition by providing portfolio management, investment governance support & marketing of their bespoke investment solutions.
Vessela offers 20 years of funds management experience gained as a Fund Manager of global & domestic beta & smart beta equity portfolios at State Street Global Advisors, a Research Equity Analyst at Investors Mutual and a Research Associate at AJO Partners, a US-based quant equity boutique based in Philadelphia, USA.
More recently, Vessela was a Fund Manager at Ironbark Asset Management where she was instrumental in helping financial advisory firms design, launch and sustain multi-asset managed accounts on designated platforms.
Vessela started her career in the United States as a corporate valuations consultant with PwC & holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance & Management Information Systems from Drexel University in Philadelphia, USA.


Wayne Chatterjee, CFA
Wayne is a member of Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Australia Portfolio Investment Committee with key responsibilities including portfolio construction and management as well as leading the research coverage of Alternative Asset strategies in the Research team.
\He has led the development of several proprietary resources such as the Managed Fund Comparative Performance Analysis tool as well as the local implementation of Morgan Stanley’s patented market leading Quantitative Manager Scoring tools and the Active Passive Model.
Prior to joining Morgan Stanley in 2016, Wayne was employed at the Royal Bank of Canada where he was responsible for equity research coverage of the Australian Oil and Gas sector.
He previously held managerial and technical roles as a Mechanical Engineer, designing equipment for the mining and power industries including developing and patenting several technologies.
Wayne has a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Queensland, a Masters of Applied Finance from Macquarie University and is a CFA® charterholder.


Will Riggall CFA
Chief Investment Officer
Will joined Ralton (now Clime Investment Management) in 2018 as a Portfolio Manager and is responsible for portfolio construction across the varied strategies. He brings over 15 years of funds management experience having held senior portfolio management roles within investment and superannuation organisations.
In Will’s last role as Senior Investment Manager at REST (Super Investment Management), he was responsible for portfolio construction, risk management and analysing Australian large and small-cap equities. Prior to REST, Will spent time at Wallara Asset Management as a Senior Investment Manager and at AMP Capital where he was Lead Portfolio Manager for the firm’s Sustainable Alpha Funds.
During his time at AMP Capital, Will became a CFA charterholder. He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Monash University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Melbourne.
